Dr Greg Fisher
Greg Fisher was named on The List of the ‘40 Most Outstanding Business School Professors under 40’ in the USA in 2014 and in 2016 he was named among the ‘Favorite Business School Professors Teaching MBAs’.
Greg Fisher is a professor in the Management and Entrepreneurship Department at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and is also a visiting lecturer at the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) in South Africa and at the SKK Graduate School of Business in South Korea.
He teaches in the areas of strategy and entrepreneurship and he has won teaching awards at Indiana University, the University of Washington and GIBS.
Greg was born and educated in South Africa where he did a Bachelor of Accounting undergraduate degree and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte in South Africa where he worked for five years.
His current research examines issues related to strategy and resource acquisition in high growth firms. His research has been published in the Academy of Management Review, Journal of Business Venturing, The Journal of Management Studies and the Oxford Handbook on Creativity, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship. He also serves as field editor for the Journal of Business Venturing and serves on the editorial board for the Academy of Management Review.
Greg was an expert contributor to Entrepreneur Magazine South Africa from 2006 to 2012. He contributed more than 60 feature articles for the publication on topics related to strategy, business planning, innovation, new venture creation and business management.
He holds a Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship and Strategy from the University of Washington in Seattle and an MBA from GIBS.
