Over 14 years Ran Neu-Ner his co-CEO Gil Oved grew The Creative Counsel into the largest communications and advertising group in South Africa with an annual turnover of over R600 million; In 2015 they sold it for a reported R1billion, the highest amount paid for any advertising agency in South Africa.
In 2013 Ran and Gil were awarded the Absa Unlisted Company Award for business excellence and entrepreneurship and in 2014 they won the CNBC All Africa Business Leader Awards (AABLA) Young Business Leader of the Year for Southern Africa and the same award for the whole continent.
Ran Neu-Ner was a born entrepreneur. At the age of three-and-a-half, he learnt to use a pair of scissors, cut out some pictures from a calendar and went selling them door to door in his neighbourhood. He was out all night and returned home with a pocketful of money to find a convoy of police cars waiting for him.
He graduated from university with a B.Com and a CFA.
